New heart scan aims to prevent unnecessary second stents
NCT ID NCT07116083
Summary
This study is testing a computer-based tool called µQFR that analyzes standard heart scan images. The goal is to see if it can accurately tell when a smaller side-branch artery is still blocked enough to need treatment after a main artery has received a stent. Researchers will enroll 290 patients with complex artery blockages to compare this new tool against the current gold-standard measurement.
