Listening for heart trouble: new device aims to catch disease earlier

NCT ID NCT07496775

Summary

This study is testing whether a sensitive digital stethoscope can detect early heart disease by picking up subtle changes in heart sounds. Researchers will record heart sounds from 500 patients who are already scheduled for standard heart scans. The goal is to see if this simple sound analysis could one day help doctors spot heart valve or artery problems earlier in community clinics.
