Local study aims to close the gap in heart health disparities
NCT ID NCT00143923
Summary
This Pennsylvania-based study aims to understand and reduce differences in heart disease risk among different groups. Researchers are following 2,000 adults to identify who is at highest risk. About 800 higher-risk participants will try a special education program focused on diet, exercise, and behavior to see if it lowers their future chance of heart problems compared to standard advice.
