Hidden heart damage in sick kids: new scan study aims to find it

NCT ID NCT05930418

Summary

This study is testing whether a special heart scan (MRI) can be done safely and successfully in children with cancer who have recently recovered from a severe infection called sepsis. The goal is to see if these scans can find hidden heart problems, like inflammation or weakness, that might not show up otherwise. The findings could help doctors better monitor and manage heart health in these vulnerable children in the future.
