Faster heart scan could replace lengthy MRI for millions
NCT ID NCT06029400
Summary
This study aims to see if a faster, more widely available CT scan can be as good as the current standard MRI at spotting heart scarring and predicting future heart problems. It will enroll 2,200 adults who need a heart scan for reasons like chest pain or heart failure. The main goal is to see if the CT scan results can predict who might be hospitalized for heart failure or die from any cause.
