New strategy aims to shield cancer Patients' hearts from treatment side effects
NCT ID NCT07223385
Summary
This study tests whether early consultation with a heart specialist can better protect prostate cancer patients from heart problems caused by their cancer treatments. Researchers will work with 80 men who have prostate cancer and are taking specific hormone therapies, providing half with specialized heart care to manage risks like high cholesterol and blood pressure. The goal is to see if this proactive approach helps patients stay on their cancer medications safely while reducing their chance of heart attacks or strokes.
