First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study follows 1600 breast cancer patients for up to 15 years after radiotherapy to see if newer, more precise radiation techniques lower the risk of heart disease. Researchers will compare heart problems in these patients to those in the general female population. The goal is to understand if modern radiation is safer for the heart and to find early warning signs of heart damage.
