Cancer Cure's hidden cost: study probes heart risk in survivors
NCT ID NCT02276430
Summary
This study aims to understand why men who have been successfully treated for testicular cancer face a higher risk of developing heart disease later in life. Researchers are observing 939 survivors to identify the specific risk factors, such as past chemotherapy or lifestyle factors, that contribute to this increased risk. The goal is to gather knowledge that can help develop better long-term health monitoring and preventive care for survivors.
