NCT ID NCT07471802
Summary
This study aims to understand how a common diabetes medication (SGLT2 inhibitors) affects the body's automatic nervous system in people with type 2 diabetes who also have heart failure or chronic kidney disease. Researchers will monitor 150 participants by analyzing their heart rate patterns over 24 hours using a portable device (Holter monitor) before and after starting the medication. The goal is to gather knowledge about how this drug helps protect the heart and kidneys beyond just lowering blood sugar.
