New heart pump aims to make risky stent surgery safer
NCT ID NCT07149714
Summary
This study is testing a temporary heart pump called the iVAC 2L to see if it can help patients survive and recover better from high-risk stent procedures. The pump is inserted through a leg artery and helps the heart pump blood during the delicate surgery. Researchers will follow 100 patients for a year to see if using this device reduces deaths, heart attacks, and strokes compared to standard care.
