Diabetes drugs may shield cancer Patients' hearts from chemo damage

Summary
This study compares two types of diabetes medications to see if they can protect the heart from damage caused by a common breast cancer chemotherapy drug. Researchers will follow 150 Egyptian women with breast cancer who are receiving doxorubicin chemotherapy. Participants will take either an SGLT2 inhibitor, a DPP-4 inhibitor, or receive standard care alone to see which approach best prevents heart problems.
