Can stronger meds shrink Women's heart plaque?

NCT ID NCT05035056

Summary

This study tested whether an intensive combination of cholesterol, blood pressure, and aspirin medications could reduce the amount of harmful plaque in heart arteries better than standard care in women. Researchers used special heart scans to measure plaque changes in 191 women with non-blocking heart artery disease over about three years. The goal was to see if reducing plaque with stronger medication also improved chest pain symptoms.
