Summary

This study looks at whether checking the heart early for iron buildup in people with sickle cell disease can help prevent heart problems and reduce hospital visits. About 100 adults with sickle cell disease and high iron levels will get regular heart scans and treatment. The goal is to see if this approach lowers hospital stays and heart complications.
