First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether two types of heart ultrasound—one done on the chest and one done through the throat—give the same measurements of right heart function during heart surgery. 90 adults having scheduled heart surgery took part. The goal was to see if these methods can be used interchangeably to monitor the heart during the operation.
