New scan aims to spot heart damage before It's too late
NCT ID NCT05756608
Summary
This study aims to better understand and detect early heart scarring (fibrosis) in three specific heart conditions: aortic stenosis, heart damage from chemotherapy, and carcinoid syndrome. Researchers will use special PET scans and blood tests on 180 participants to see if they can spot this scarring process when it is active and early. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help predict future heart problems and guide treatment decisions.
