Scientists probe Fat's secret messages to the heart
NCT ID NCT06408961
Summary
This study aims to understand how tiny particles released by fat cells might influence the development of heart disease, diabetes, and other metabolic conditions. Researchers will collect fat and blood samples from 100 adults undergoing weight-loss surgery to analyze these particles. The goal is to learn how fat tissue 'communicates' with other organs and if these signals change after weight loss.
