No implant needed: new heart procedure aims to ease heart failure

NCT ID NCT06859970

Summary

This early study is testing a new heart procedure that creates a small opening between the upper heart chambers to relieve pressure buildup. The procedure uses a special device but leaves no permanent implant behind. Researchers want to see if this approach is safe and might help improve symptoms like shortness of breath and fatigue in people with moderate to severe heart failure.
