NCT ID NCT04434664

Summary

This study compared two common blood pressure medications—amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and metoprolol (a beta-blocker)—in 50 adults with both high blood pressure and a specific type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but doesn't relax well. The goal was to see which drug better improves blood pressure, exercise capacity, and quality of life by targeting the underlying problems in this condition.
