Scientists peek inside to see how heart failure drugs help patients walk farther
NCT ID NCT05885607
Summary
This study aims to learn how SGLT2 inhibitor medications, which are already FDA-approved for heart failure, affect the body. Researchers will observe 40 patients with symptomatic heart failure who are starting this medication. They will measure changes in blood chemistry, walking distance, and leg muscle function before and after starting treatment to understand how the drug works.
