Heart failure study aims to make pacemakers more effective
NCT ID NCT03280862
Summary
This study is testing whether placing a pacemaker wire in a specific, late-activating area of the heart is better than standard placement for people with heart failure and a specific electrical problem (bundle branch block). It involves 1,000 participants who are getting a special pacemaker called CRT. The goal is to see if this targeted placement can reduce deaths or unplanned hospital stays for heart failure compared to the usual method.
