Blood test may keep heart failure patients out of hospital

Summary
This study is testing whether monitoring a blood marker called sST2 can help doctors better manage heart failure and reduce repeat hospital visits. Researchers will compare costs and quality of life between patients whose treatment is guided by sST2 levels and those receiving usual care. About 710 adults hospitalized with heart failure will take part. The goal is to see if this approach lowers costs and improves outcomes.
