Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called bempedoic acid can help reduce heart disease risk in people living with HIV. Researchers want to see if the drug lowers cholesterol, reduces artery inflammation, and improves heart health markers. The trial involves 121 HIV-positive adults aged 40+ who have either existing heart disease or at least one heart disease risk factor.
