Could a common heart drug help fix damaged hearts from birth?

NCT ID NCT06693674

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called sacubitril-valsartan, often used for heart failure, can improve the heart's structure and function in adults who were born with heart defects. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo in 45 participants, measuring changes in heart scans, blood tests, and quality-of-life surveys. The goal is to see if this treatment can help control the long-term effects of congenital heart disease.
