New heart hope: can a pill stop heart failure after valve surgery?
NCT ID NCT05672836
Summary
This trial is testing if adding a once-daily pill called enavogliflozin to standard care can help prevent major heart problems in people who have had a minimally invasive heart valve replacement and also have a specific type of heart failure. The study will enroll about 1,040 participants to see if the drug reduces the combined risk of heart-related death, heart attack, stroke, or hospitalization for worsening heart failure over one year, compared to a placebo.
