Personalized medicine test guides better blood thinner choice for heart patients
NCT ID NCT06228456
Summary
This study aims to see if a newer blood-thinning drug (low-dose ticagrelor) works better than the standard drug (clopidogrel) for a specific group of patients. It focuses on 50 people with stable heart disease who are getting a stent placed and who have a high score on a special test (ABCD-GENE score) that predicts they are at risk for a heart attack during the procedure. Researchers will measure how well each drug prevents blood clots by checking platelet activity in the blood.
