Scientists hunt for hidden heart attack clues in high cholesterol patients

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with inherited high cholesterol develop hidden blockages in their heart arteries, while others do not. Researchers will observe 600 adults with this condition who have not yet had a heart attack or stroke. They will use heart scans and collect detailed health information over 30 months to identify factors linked to early artery disease and future heart risks.
