New study aims to predict heart risks in seniors before surgery
NCT ID NCT07311954
Summary
This study aims to create a better tool to predict which elderly patients with heart artery blockages might benefit most from procedures to open those arteries. Researchers will follow 800 patients aged 70+ for two years, using heart scans, blood tests, and measures of frailty to build a risk prediction model. The goal is to help doctors make more personalized treatment decisions for older adults with heart disease.
