Can a DNA score motivate you to lower your cholesterol?

NCT ID NCT07087431

Summary

This study is testing whether telling people their genetic risk score for coronary artery disease (a type of heart disease) motivates them to improve their health. 500 adults aged 30-75 who are not on cholesterol medication will be randomly chosen to get their score right away or after a year. Researchers will check if getting the score leads to lower cholesterol, better health habits, and more doctor visits over 12 months.
