Summary
This study looked at whether having a congenital heart defect affects long-term health and quality of life for children who have survived blood cancers like leukemia. Researchers followed 800 survivors to compare those with heart defects to those without, tracking health outcomes and looking for shared genetic factors. The goal was to better understand the unique risks these survivors face to improve future care.
