First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study looks at how a special heart scan (coronary CT angiography) can help predict future heart problems in people with coronary artery disease. Researchers will follow about 300 adults for at least a year to see which types of fatty plaques are most dangerous and whether stenting or medication works better for different plaque types. The goal is to help doctors make smarter treatment choices to prevent heart attacks.
