New heart scan aims to spot dangerous plaque before it strikes
NCT ID NCT07169201
Summary
This study is testing a new, high-resolution CT scanner to see if it can better identify dangerous, unstable plaque in heart arteries and assess blood flow problems without invasive procedures. It will enroll 500 adults with suspected or known heart disease or type 2 diabetes. The goal is to validate new, non-invasive measurements from the scan against current, more invasive tests to improve future diagnosis.
