Summary

This study compares a new, adjustable temperature cooler (RYOBI) to a standard FDA-approved device for storing donor hearts during transport to the hospital. Researchers want to see if the new cooler works just as well, while being cheaper and creating less waste. The study will involve 80 adults receiving a heart transplant.
