Heart attack patients face hidden bleeding risk: new study tests protection strategy

NCT ID NCT07467213

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to protect the stomachs of heart attack patients who need strong blood thinners. It will compare two approaches: routinely using a newer acid-blocking medication versus following current medical guidelines. Researchers will track 5,000 patients for one year to see which strategy better prevents serious bleeding and other major health problems.
