Summary

This study tests if a newer, thinner stent (coated with a drug to prevent re-narrowing) plus a single, potent blood thinner (without aspirin) works as well as the standard two-drug therapy after a heart attack. The goal is to lower bleeding risk while still preventing future heart problems. About 350 heart attack patients will be enrolled and followed for at least one year.
