Summary
This study looked at whether measuring a natural clot-busting substance (t-PA) released from heart arteries could predict future heart attacks or death in people with mild to moderate coronary artery disease. Researchers gave a small dose of bradykinin into the heart artery during a routine catheterization and measured t-PA levels. The study was small (16 participants) and terminated early, so results are limited.
