New score aims to flag hidden heart attack risk before routine stent surgery

NCT ID NCT05332262

Summary

This study is testing a new precision medicine tool called the ABCD-GENE score. It aims to identify which patients with stable heart disease are at higher risk of heart muscle damage during a planned stent placement procedure. Researchers will enroll 500 patients to see if this score, which combines genetic and clinical information, can accurately predict this risk. The goal is to better identify at-risk patients so doctors can consider different treatment plans to protect their hearts.
