Heart attack survivors get a 'Patient Partner' to boost exercise

NCT ID NCT05927363

Summary

This study tested if a special support program could help people stay physically active after a heart attack. It involved 84 patients who had completed the main part of their cardiac rehab. The program paired patients with a 'patient partner'—a fellow survivor—and a healthcare professional for education and motivation, aiming to help them maintain exercise habits for six months.
