New drug combo tested to unclog hearts after major attack
NCT ID NCT07195812
Summary
This study is testing if adding the blood thinner rivaroxaban to standard medications improves blood flow in the heart's arteries after a procedure to open a blockage from a severe heart attack. Researchers will compare the new three-drug combination to the standard two-drug therapy in 60 patients. The goal is to see if the extra drug helps blood move better through the arteries and reduces future heart problems, while checking for safety risks like bleeding.
