Scientists scan healthy hearts to unlock secrets of aging
NCT ID NCT03064503
Summary
This study aimed to understand how normal aging affects the heart muscle. Researchers used MRI scans and blood tests to measure heart function and look for signs of tissue scarring (fibrosis) in 74 healthy adults. The goal was to learn how these age-related changes are connected, without testing any treatments.
