Scientists probe hidden link between hearing loss and dizziness
NCT ID NCT05500521
Summary
This study aimed to understand if people with severe hearing loss also have problems with their balance system in the inner ear. Researchers tested 98 adults aged 50-85 with significant hearing loss, comparing their balance function to people with normal hearing. They used specialized tests to measure how well the inner ear's balance organs were working.
