Can better hearing aids slow memory loss? new trial investigates
NCT ID NCT06495268
Summary
This study is testing whether a personalized, data-driven approach to fitting hearing aids can do more than just improve hearing in older adults. It aims to see if this tailored method can also help slow cognitive decline and improve quality of life, compared to the standard way hearing aids are fitted. Researchers will follow 200 first-time hearing aid users for two years, measuring their hearing, memory, and daily well-being.
