Summary
This study tested a 12-month healthy weight program for 112 youth aged 8-18 with serious emotional disturbance who were overweight or obese. The program included a health coach who worked with both the child and parents to improve diet and physical activity. The goal was to reduce body mass index and heart disease risk factors compared to usual care.
