Summary

This study looks at whether a community program that teaches families healthy eating and activity habits can help children with overweight or obesity. About 160 children with a BMI at or above the 85th percentile will take part. Researchers will compare changes in BMI and family habits between those who start the program right away and those on a waitlist.
