Can diet and exercise classes before pregnancy prevent complications?
NCT ID NCT06879054
Summary
This study aims to see if providing healthy lifestyle education about diet, exercise, and nutrition to women before they get pregnant or in early pregnancy can improve their heart health and lower the risk of pregnancy complications like gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. Researchers will enroll 200 women at higher risk for these complications and randomly assign them to receive either the education program plus usual care or just usual care alone. The main goals are to see if the program is practical to run and if it leads to better health scores and fewer pregnancy problems.
