Can swapping soda for water in daycare stop childhood obesity?

NCT ID NCT05112185

Summary

This study tests if a program that encourages drinking water instead of sugary drinks in childcare centers and at home can help prevent obesity in young children. Researchers are working with 14 childcare centers, mostly serving low-income Latino families, to change the drinks available and teach healthy habits. They will measure children's weight and what they drink over a year to see if the program helps kids stay at a healthier weight.
