Can a phone coach ease Veterans' debilitating pain?
NCT ID NCT04157101
Summary
This study tested whether remote health coaching could help veterans with chronic, widespread pain and fatigue (like fibromyalgia) improve their daily function and reduce pain. 260 veterans were randomly assigned to receive either personalized health coaching focused on lifestyle changes or supportive talk therapy, both delivered remotely. Researchers measured changes in disability, pain interference, and other symptoms over 6 months to see which approach worked better.
