Music instead of meds? headphones tested to cut sedation in knee surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether using noise-canceling headphones with music or a movie can help patients need less sedation medication during knee replacement surgery. Researchers will compare patients who use the headphones to those who don't to see if it reduces the amount of sedative drugs required. The goal is to find a safer, more comfortable way to keep patients calm during procedures done with spinal anesthesia.
