Nasal spray could ease agony of brain bleed headaches

NCT ID NCT06621329

Summary

This study is testing if a special nasal spray that numbs a nerve cluster can help reduce the severe headaches people get after a type of brain bleed called a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Researchers want to see if adding this spray to standard pain medication works better than medication alone and if it helps patients need fewer opioid painkillers. They are enrolling 40 adults who have had this type of brain bleed and whose aneurysm has been treated.
