Nerve block tested to ease agony of brain bleed headaches

NCT ID NCT06008795

Summary

This study is testing whether a targeted nerve block injection can safely reduce severe headaches in people recovering from a specific type of brain bleed (aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage). The goal is to see if this injection can lessen patients' need for strong opioid painkillers. Researchers will compare the effects of the real nerve-blocking medication to a placebo (saltwater) injection in about 195 participants.
