Blood test could help ER doctors spot dangerous headaches faster
NCT ID NCT02683304
Summary
This study tested if measuring a protein called S100B in the blood could help doctors in the emergency room. The goal was to see if the test could quickly tell the difference between common headaches and headaches caused by a more serious underlying medical problem. Researchers compared blood levels in 81 patients to see if the protein was a useful clue for diagnosis.
